Breaking: Coyotes have reportedly decided to trade one of their young stars.

This will comes as a major surprise for many, and likely as a major disappointment for fans of hockey in Arizona.

According to comments made by TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger the Arizona Coyotes have pulled back on their offer to forward Mikkel Boedker, indicating that the team will instead trade him for assets at the deadline.

Boedker will likely instantly become the hottest commodity available on the trade market, he's an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, he comes with with a relatively manageable cap hit of $3.75 million, and he's recorded 13 goals and 25 assists on a bad team this season. Not to mention that teams who believe they can re-sign him in the offseason will be even more interested in the 26 year old forward.

Again this must come as a major disappointment to the fan base in Arizona.
