Breaking : Dates set for negotiation with two RFA stars.

Negotiations with RFAs are often tricky, especially when the guys are rising stars in the league. The RFA status gives them less arguments to prevail in the negotiation, and most of the time it ends up with an arbitration process put in place. Teams try their hardest to strike a deal before an arbiter gets involved, but just the prospect of going through the process is scary enough for all parties involved. As they say, a bad deal is always better than a good judgement!

Anyhow, we just learned that Wild stars Nino Niederreiter and Mikael Granlund have dates set for their arbitration process.

Niederreiter has established himself as one of the leading player in the team quickly. After playing two seasons in the Islanders's system, where he didn't really fare that well, he was moved to Minnesota where he's been improving rapidly. This season, he scored an excellent  57 points in 82 games and had a lot of people wondering ''how good will he truly become?''.

Granlund is doing even better, scoring 69 points in 81 games this season. At 5'10'', many doubted his true potential for the NHL, but he disproved his critics with amazing plays and slick goals ever since.

It's a safe bet that both will have a deal signed before early August, but you never know in this era!
