He might have a long way to go still.

The Detroit Red Wings just barely snapped a 6-game losing skid recently against the Florida Panthers in a shootout. They are not quite out of the woods yet, and top insiders are already speculating that Jeff Blashill may be out of a job soon.
The news doesn't get any better this morning for Red Wings fans.
Danny DeKeyser, 27, has played 3 games this season. He's missed 9 games since and was never placed on injured reserve. With this news, it is possible that he ends up being placed on LTIR like Matt Niskanen for the Washington Capitals.
The situation isn't ideal for Detroit. Niklas Kronwall has been filling in for DeKeyser, but the hope was that his game action would be limited due to his permanently injured knee.
Detroit, 5-6-1, plays Tuesday when the winless Arizona Coyotes come to town.
