There was a shocking rumor today when it was reported that Chicago Blackhawks superstar Artemi Panarin had agreed to a new deal with the Blackhawks, and as more and more reports echo the original it now seems certain that this is more than just mere rumor.
However none of those reports contained the financial details of his new contract, until now. Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Blackhawks and Panarin have agreed to a two-year deal, one that will pay Panarin $12 million dollars for an average annual value and salary cap hit of $6 million dollars.
It remains unclear how the Blackhawks intend to make this contract fit under their already incredibly tight cap, but you can expect more moves from general manager Stan Bowman in the near future.
