Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Malcolm Subban took to the ice today for the first time since being placed on the IR on Oct 22nd. The 23-year-old goaltender was claimed off of waivers from the Boston Bruins early last month and earned his first career NHL win in his first start for the Knights.
Just three games into his new career though, Subban suffered an injury and has yet to play since. With starter Marc-Andre Fleury also on the IR and with third stringer Oscar Dansk also injured, Subban can’t get back into the lineup quick enough.
No official return date has been set for Subban, but the speculation is that he’s now more “day-to-day” than “week-to-week”. Sit tight, Knights fan. Help could be on the way.
