Little Caesars Arena’s locker room is 5 times bigger

Let’s get this straight first: No Arena will replace the Joe. Too many memories and history have passed in this mythical multi-purpose arena in Detroit, Michigan.

In 2017 though, the Detroit Red Wings will move to a brand new arena and leave million memories behind to start a new chapter of the historical book of the Detroit Red Wings. The Little Caesars Arena is a multi-purpose arena under construction in midtown Detroit. It is scheduled to open in September 2017.

The new building cost $732.6 million to construct and feature a unique, glass-roofed concourse connecting it to offices and shops surrounding it.

Brad Gallies, sports anchor/reporter for WXYZ-TV Detroit, released a photo from the inside of the Red Wings’ new locker room. It is unfinished and under construction but we know it’ll be 5 times bigger than the one at the Joe. It will also include video theaters, pools with a treadmill, training center, and lounge.
