The Calgary Flames have announced another move in what has been an incredibly busy offseason for the organization.

According to an official report from the Flames official website, the Flames have signed 23-year-old defenseman Brett Kulak to a one-year deal,  and furthermore the Flames announced this is a two-way deal.

Kulak has split time between the American Hockey League and the National Hockey League over the past two seasons, but this contract will pay Kulak $650,000 at the NHL level.

Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia is reporting that Kulak will need to clear waivers in order to be dropped down to the AHL level following the signing of this deal, meaning that should the Flames feel the need to send him down, they risk losing him to any NHL franchise that wants to claim him.
