The Calgary Flames called up goaltender David Rittich from the Stockton Heat (AHL), the team announced on Friday. The team also assigned goaltender Eddie Lack to the AHL, after he was unclaimed on waivers.

Rittich, 25, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Flames in 2016. In 31 games played in the AHL last season, he registered a record of 15-11-1, with a 2.27 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.

In six stars this season, the Czech goaltender is 5-1, and has a 2.17 goals-against average with a .931 save percentage.
