Breaking: Flyers announced two roster moves today!
Keystone Press

The Philadelphia Flyers announced two roster moves today, ahead of their game against the Detroit Red Wings tomorrow night. The Flyers have assigned defenseman Travis Sanheim to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL), and they have called up defenseman Mark Alt from the AHL. Sanheim played 35 games with the Flyers this season, scoring one goal and four assists for a total of five points. He also added 12 penalty minutes.

Drafted 17th overall by the Flyers in 2014, Sanheim is playing his second season of professional hockey. Last season, he scored ten goals and 27 assists for a total of 37 points in 76 games in the AHL.

Alt, 26, played eight games with Philadelphia this season, without registering a point. At the AHL level, he has five goals and five assists for a total of ten points in 25 games. Drafted 53rd overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2010, he played a total of nine games in the NHL, all with the Flyers, and he is still looking for his first NHL point.

The Flyers are currently fourth in the Metropolitan division with a record of 23-16-8. They won their last three games, and eight of their last ten games.

Last night, they won 2-1 in overtime against the Washington Capitals, thanks to this goal from Travis Konecny
