Breaking: Flyers reveal timeline on Couturier's injury and it's not good.
Keystone Press.

The Flyers' have finally revealed how bad the injury to forward Sean Couturier is after there was a ton of speculation in the past several hours.

According to an official report on the Flyers' website, Couturier will be sidelined for at least the next two weeks, effectively ruling him out of the first round of the postseason. General manager Ron Hextall confirmed the news on Friday, and although many saw it coming, it has to hit the team and their fans very hard.

Couturier is the team's best two-way forward, he eats up nearly 20 minutes of ice time a night, and he plays some of the hardest minutes in the National Hockey League against the opposition's top lines. His loss in an extremely difficult first round match up against the Washington Capitals could be too much for the Flyers to hope to overcome.

With that said the Flyers' clearly have no intention of giving up, and it's expected Scott Laughton will step in to the line up with Couturier on the sidelines.
