Unexpected move on Friday

Things are moving really fast on Friday in the NHL.

As reported by Sports Net Elliotte Friedman, the Anaheim Ducks has put Simon Despres on waivers to be bought out. Despres was drafted in the first round, 30th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Despite having excellent games in the Playoffs against the Philadelphia Flyers, on March 2, 2015, Despres was traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Ben Lovejoy.

If he is not picked, he will be bought out. Despres had four more years on his contract at $3.7 million a year.
