This just in, the Dallas Stars have announced that they’ve hired former team captain Brenden Morrow as Director of Business and Hockey Development. Morrow rejoins the franchise after his retirement from professional hockey in 2015. He spent 13 of his 15 NHL seasons with the Stars, spending nine seasons as the team’s captain.

*Brenden Morrow*returns to the Stars organization in his new role of*Director of Business and Hockey Development*. In his new position with the club, Morrow will work closely with President Brad Alberts on all initiatives relating to corporate partnership endeavors, grassroots hockey initiatives, ticket sales, Dallas Stars Foundation events and the Dallas Stars Ownership Advisory Group. Originally selected by Dallas in the first round (25th overall) of the 1997 NHL Draft, Morrow spent 13 of his 15 NHL seasons with the Stars, recording 528 points (243-285=528) in 835 career regular-season games with the club. The forward also served as the fifth captain in Dallas Stars history, and the 22nd captain in franchise history, from 2006-13, the second-longest tenured captain in club history.
