The Arizona Coyotes have called up forward Dylan Strome from the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL), the team announced on Sunday. They have also assigned forward Mario Kempe to the AHL.
Strome, 20, was drafted third overall by the Coyotes in 2015. He played nine games in the NHL (seven last year, two this season), registering only a point. He did well at the AHL level this season, has he recorded 26 points in 15 games played.
The Mississauga, Ontario native produced at a high level in junior hockey, as he registered 354 points in 219 games played with the Erie Otters (OHL). He added 86 points in 69 playoff games.
Do you think he can produce at the NHL level? Will he help the Coyotes?
