The Anaheim Ducks had bad news to share to their fans on Tuesday. The team has announced that veteran forward Ryan Getzlaf underwent surgery to repair a fracture to his skull.
He is expected to miss up to two months of action. He was struck by a puck against the Carolina Hurricanes more than a week ago.
Getzlaf has played six games for the Ducks this season after dealing with another injury right after training camp. The captain made the most of those games with a total of seven points.
Now fans could see Getzlaf wear a visor once he returns to NHL ice.
