New York Rangers goaltender Antti Raanta was in obvious discomfort on Thursday night after he took a knuckle puck to the head courtesy of Marco Scandella during the Rangers match up against the Minnesota Wild.
Scandella had plenty of time to wind up and deliver a full force slap shot that sent the knuckle puck directly into the forehead area of Raanta's mask, and after a split second delay for his brain to register the impact, Raanta slumped down to the ice.
No word yet on his condition, but I think it's fair to say a concussion is certainly a possibility.
