A possible goalie trade on the way?

It sounds like we may have another trade coming down tonight in the National Hockey League, this time involving a goalie.

There have been rumors floating around all day regarding Edmonton Oilers goaltender Anders Nilsson and the possibility that he could be traded and unsurprisingly Nilsson, who was expected to get the start tonight against the Anaheim Ducks, was pulled out of the line up prior to the start of the contest.

Now two insiders are reporting that there has been major interest for Nilsson on two fronts. First Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported that St. Louis could be the team looking to pull the trigger, and given their recent rash of injuries in goal, this would make sense.

However his colleague Nick Kypreos has also reported that the San Jose Sharks have made a push this evening to acquire Nilsson, and Kypreos characterized it as "very strong interest."

We will as always continue to monitor this situation and report any trades if they become official.
