Breaking: Habs recall Jerabek from Laval

The Montreal Canadiens called up defenseman Jakub Jerabek from the AHL's Laval Rocket on Wednesday morning.

The Czech blue liner has recorded a goal and 10 assists totalling 11 points in 17 games with the Rocket this season. He's second among the AHL team's point-getters so far this year. 

Acquired by the Habs in May, the 26-year-old is called up for the first time in his career. He will join the team in Nashville.

Veteran Shea Weber missed last night's game against the Dallas Stars.
