While everyone knows hockey is a tough sport, and especially come playoff time you have to expect you will be a little banged up, no one expects the coach of all people to be the one taking an injury.

On Wednesday night that's exactly what happened in the National Hockey League, when Islanders coach Jack Capuano was struck in the head by a deflected puck, and went down in a heap on the bench.

Given that this is hockey you would expect a coach to try and shake it off and keep coaching through the pain, so the fact that Capuano stayed down and then eventually left the bench did raise some concerns about how badly he had been hit.

Here's a look at what happened.
