According to a report from Dan Rosen of NHL.com St. Louis Blues forward Alex Steen will miss the reminder of the training camp and the preseason schedule with a left hand injury suffered in their first preseason games againt the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said that Steen will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
The 33-year-old Swede will play in his 10th season with the Blues in 2017-18. Last season, Steen played 76 games for the Blues, putting up 51 points (16 goals, 35 assists), while adding seven points in 10 playoff games.
Originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft (24th overall), Steen has played 822 career regular season games with the Leafs and Blues, registering 532 points. In 61 playoff games (all with St-Louis), he has added 31 points.
