After crashing heavily into the boards against the Dallas Stars last weekend, Chicago Blackhawks rookie phenom Tyler Motte left the game and did not return.
While Blackhawks fans waited patiently for an injury report on the 21-year-old, there was no telling what exactly ailed him. We have learned moments ago that Motte will be sidelined for at least two to three weeks.
Joel Quenneville announced that Motte’s lower-body injury will keep him out of action after an unfortunate collision along the boards with Radek Faksa of the Stars. There are no details concerning the specific nature of the injury as of yet.
Through 11 games, Motte has registered three goals and six points while boasting a plus-5 rating.
