The Florida Panthers officially cleaned out their lockers today and while many players made comments to the media, all the noise is about the comments made by veteran forward Jarmor Jagr.
Despite indicating earlier in the season that he was intent on remaining within the Panthers organization, when asked about his future of the team on Tuesday Jagr was extremely noncomittal, and spoke of changes in the organization.
“We’ll wait and see,” said Jagr as per George Richards of the Miami Herald “What happens, happens. Of course there will be some kind of changes, that’s what the owners want. It’s already started; there were changes [Monday].”
According to the Miami Herald Dave Tallon had plans to speak to Jagr on Monday regarding his future with the team, but it doesn't sound like those talks got very far.
“We talked a little bit,” Jagr said. “I don’t want to go into any details. We’ll let you know if something happens.”
Jagr has been working on one-year deals with the Panthers, so he will be a free agent this summer.
