The Winnipeg Jets have lost one of their top defensemen and have lost him for what could be a long time.
A report from Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun has revealed that defenseman Tobias Enstrom has returned home to Sweden and will remain there for an indefinite period of time. According to Wiebe that report was confirmed by head coach Paul Maurice himself so you can take it to the bank.
No one seems to know why Enstrom has suddenly left the team however it was been listed as "personal reasons." If this is a family matter for Enstrom we have no doubt that despite his absence he will receive an outpouring of support from the Jets fan base.
His absence will be a big loss though, he is the Jets third most active defenseman and that won't be easy to replace.
