Breaking: Karlsson can barely move on Marchand's goal as the D-man plays injured!

Erik Karlsson was sidelined with a groin injury this weekend, after the star defenseman aggravated the ailment that made him miss nine games earlier this season. However, the veteran blue liner was back in action on Tuesday night against the Bruins in Boston...

Yeah, that wasn't a great idea by the San Jose Sharks...

Karlsson appeared to injury his groin once again during the contest, as his leg just gave out from under him as he was trying to keep up with Bruins young defenseman Charlie McAvoy. The Sharks defender fell to the ice and headed down the tunnel, as everyone assumed he had aggravated the injury and would be out for the remainder of the game.

But no. Karlsson was back, just in time to look like a complete fool in front of Brad Marchand. The Bruins star forward scored the team's fourth goal of the game and he did it by completely undressing both Karlsson and goalie Martin Jones on the shorthanded play.

Karlsson could barely keep up with Marchand or stand on the sequence as it didn't take long for the Sharks fan base to notice that something was wrong with the Norris Trophy winner.

Some fans are begging the Sharks to sit Karlsson as while - the poor man clearly needs it. It would be wise for San Jose to take out easy with Karlsson ahead of the postseason. The trade deadline is over and no one else can come to the rescue before the playoffs.

The injury is concerning because it could mean that Karlsson could miss a chunk of the stretch run with just 20 games left on the schedule. The last thing the Sharks want to do now is rush him back and potentially see this saga stretch into the postseason, right?
