In another astonishing move that can only make you think, “WTF?”, KHL club Moscow Dynamo has released all of their players on one-way contracts WITHOUT pay. Here’s the scoop from KHL insider Slava Malamud:

Um, excuse me? Released from their contracts, but not paid? That’s not how a contract is supposed to work. Of course, this is the KHL we’re talking about and things seem to operate differently in that part of the world. This announcement is just another in a growing list of moves that are making the hockey world question the stability of the world’s second biggest hockey league. Earlier in the Spring, the KHL announced they were folding two teams for the 2017-18 season. Just a day later it was announced that players were owed tens of millions of dollars in unpaid salary. Now this.

What the heck is going on in Russia?
