Veteran forward Brooks Laich cleared waivers on Saturday, after he was placed on the wire by the Los Angeles Kings yesterday.
Laich only managed one point and 10 shots through 12 games, and he had already been out of the lineup for a few games before he hit the wire. On top of that the Kings acquired Torrey Mitchell from the Montreal Canadiens, which did not help.
The veteran, who signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Kings before the season, will wind up in Ontario in the OHL.
The 34-year-old spent all of last season in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies, though he only played in 27 games.
