With training camps in the National Hockey League just around the corner, we are still left with way too many restricted free agent stars unsigned…
The young players also don’t want to be twirling their thumbs, waiting for an outcome with their respective teams and that is why we saw in the latest days Toronto Maple Leafs’ Mitch Marner (Switzerland) and Colorado Avalanche’s Mikko Rantanen (Norway) practicing with other teams while they await the stalemate with their clubs to come to an end before the start of the NHL season.
Well on Wednesday, it was Patrik Laine’s time to make a move.
According to the Complete Hockey News, Laine joined Tampereen Tappara in Finland and is now training with the team. He could be looking for a longer association if the Jets can't settle an agreement ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Laine is surely attempting to put some more pressure on the Jets’ shoulders, while keeping in shape as he awaits for a possible resolution in this case.
Many rumors also revolve around Laine as the young himself revealed he was not sure that it will be with the Jets’ starting lineup next season…
Now he is putting words into action!
