BREAKING : Landeskog ANNIHILATES Hawks' star at World with dangerous late hit.

The World Championship is in full swing in Europe and lots of NHL players joined their national teams to try and win the gold. Some may think this post-season tournament would be soft and amiable, but it's to the contrary players are in for a pound of flesh. 

It's exactly what happened when Avalanche star defenseman Gabriel Landeskog destroyed Hawks' Nick Schmaltz.  

This is VERY questionable, as the hit came late on the sequence. It's actually surprising coming from Landeskog, as he battled through concussions himself. Sure, hockey is not for the faint of heart and yes, physical play is encouraged. However, this sequence served nothing as the shot was well on its way and Schmaltz was vulnerable.
