Are we about to see a trade?

There has been a last minute scratch in Montreal tonight, and with a National Hockey League general manager personally scouting the game the trade rumors are flying.

According to a report from Sportsnet analyst Jason York, Montreal Canadiens forward Dale Weise was not spotted on the ice for warm ups, and the Canadiens have now confirmed that he has indeed been scratched for tonight's contest, however the Habs have stated he has contracted a virus and is out for that reason.

Weise has been the focus of most trade rumors involving the Canadiens thus far, primarily because as a soon to be free agent he has publicly acknowledged that no effort has been made by the Canadiens to negotiate with him.

Whatever the real reason for his absence from the line up tonight is, it has certainly raised a few eyebrows.
