There are already plenty of good reasons to tune in to the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, but Thursday night's game will bring something a little extra special for Leaf fans.

With Toronto set to face off against the Florida Panthers the belief was that Toronto would be squaring off against Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo but that will not be the case. According to a report from ESPN's Pierre Lebrun, Panther's head coach Gerard Gallant has instead confirmed that it will be former Maple Leaf James Reimer that takes on his old team.

In five starts this season Reimer has just been average, but obviously the Panthers are hoping that playing against his former team will spark the goalie to a strong performance. He will need to be on top of his game as the Leafs now boast some of the National Hockey League's best offensive talents in Mitch Marner, Auston MatthewsWilliam Nylander and more.

All in all it will make for a very interesting clash for Leaf fans to take in.
