Breaking: Major outdoor game confirmed for the Maple Leafs next season.

There were a large number of announcements during National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman's press conference today, and one of them focused on the Maple Leafs.

Yahoo Sports' Greg Wyshynski has reported that Bettman confirmed that an outdoor game would be held between the Washington Capitals and the Toronto Maple Leafs next season. 

According to Bettman, the event will take place on the 3rd of March and will be held at Navy in Annapolis, something that should ensure this will be an absolutely monumental event.

It will launch a series of Stadium Games to be held at military academies in the future.
