Breaking: Major suspension to be announced today in the NHL.
Sounds like this is going to be a big one.
HockeyFeed
All signs are pointing to a major suspension coming down today in the National Hockey League.
First according to the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas has been offered an in-person hearing, and furthermore Gudas has opted to waive his right to that hearing, and will instead have it done over the phone. This is a clear indication that Gudas will be facing a hefty suspension as in person hearings are only offered when a player is facing a suspension of six or more games, and Gudas is a repeat offender.
The latest bit of news on this front is that the announcement will be coming shortly, with Flyers' insider Sam Carchidi reporting that the deicision is expected to come down today, although Carchidi had no further details on the nature of the suspension.
The hit occurred on the 8th of October and has led to a fairly serious concussion to Boston's Austin Czarnik sidelining him for one to two weeks, if you haven't seen the hit we've included a video below. Let us know how many games you feel this hit warrants for a repeat offender.
