Breaking: Maple Leafs have signed Max Domi!

The Toronto Maple Leafs are going all in on Day 2 of free agency with a number of big moves.

Max Domi will follow in the footsteps of his father, Toronto Maple Leafs icon Tie Domi, and officially become a Toronto Maple Leaf.

The Maple Leafs have pulled off what many did not think would be possible with another significant free agent signing on Day 2 of free agency. According to a report from NHL insider Chris Johnston the Maple Leafs and Domi have come to terms on a new one year deal worth $3 million.

Domi is coming off a strong playoff performance as a member of the Dallas Stars with 3 goals and 10 assists for a total of 13 points over 19 games during the Stars' recent Stanley Cup playoff run.

This signing very much fits the mold of what Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has been doing this weekend, with the addition of hard nosed players with a reputation of being difficult to play against. The signing of Domi follows the signing of Tyler Bertuzzi earlier today and the signing of NHL enforcer Ryan Reaves as well.

The only question now is how will they make all of this fit under the salary cap?
