We reported just under an hour ago that Vegas Golden Knights allowed forward Vadim Shipachyov to talk to other teams about a possible trade. Sportsnet's Eric Engels then suggested that the Montreal Canadiens could be interested in bringing in the 30-year-old Russian forward, but it looks like the Habs aren't willing to make a move.
Just a few minutes after publishing the initial tweets, Engels confirmed that Habs' general manager Marc Bergevin was indeed contacted by Vegas yesterday, but that he had no intention of trading for him:
