Finally! Matt Duchene scored his first goal with the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night! Duchene, acquired in a blockbuster, three teams trade by the Senators earlier in November, didn't register a point in the first seven games he has played with his new team before tonight. Ottawa lost that game 2-1 against the New York Islanders.

Duchene, 26, was drafted third overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 2009. In 594 games played in the AHL, he registered 429 points. He added six points in eight playoff games.

The Sens acquired him from the Avalanche for Kyle TurrisAndrew HammondShane Bowers, a first and third round pick in the 2018 draft. Turris was later traded to the Nashville Predators for Vladislav KamenevSamuel Girard and a second round pick in the 2018 draft.
