Breaking: Matthews still on the shelf

Things remain unclear for Auston Matthews. The Toronto Maple Leafs star forward missed practice on Tuesday, and it has been reported that he was not present at the morning optional skate on Wednesday and will miss tonight's game.

The Leafs are facing the Minnesota Wild tonight, and Matthews will miss a game for the first time in his young NHL career.

Toronto recalled Frederik Gauthier from the AHL and shuffled their practice lines yesterday and Wednesday.
