UPDATE: Minnesota Wild insider Michael Russo reports that the Wild have acquired McCarron from the Predators in exchange for a 2nd round pick.

This just in, the Nashville Predators have pulled forward Michael McCarron from the lineup just prior to their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets for "roster management" purposes.
In other words: The Preds have a trade in place involving McCarron and don't want to jeopardize the deal by playing him this evening.
