NBC and NBCSN have announced a total blackout of NHL games during the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea. This means hockey fans in Canada and the United States will be without regular NHL programming on the major network February 7th to 26th. Typically the network would broadcast up to 20 NHL games during this span. But in 2017-18… zero.

NHL and NBCSN released their broadcast schedule earlier this summer, and it failed to produce any games for this period leading to the assumption that the games would be scheduled at a later date. However, the New York Post has recently uncovered quotes from NBC Sports Group VP of communications Chris McCloskey indicating that there will be “no changes” to the schedule released earlier this summer.

How do you feel about this, hockey fans?
