Miller signed a 1-year deal with the Red Wings over the summer coming with a $1.025.000 cap hit, despite his shortened season (25 games). The Wings forward underwent a major knee surgery that kept him out of action for more than 40 games and he also missed the playoffs. This year, Miller has been quite a letdown as he only managed to score 5 goals and add one assist for 6 points in 34 games. He's also a minus +-10.
A Stanley Cup winner.
In 550 games in the NHL, Miller has 62 goals and 59 helpers for 121 points. His name appears on the Stanley Cup as he played 3 games for the Anaheim Ducks in 2006-2007.
If not claimed, Drew Miller will be heading to Grand Rapids where he will join the Detroit affiliate AHL team, the Griffins.
