One of the last bigger names on the trade market has just been traded to a team looking to load up for the playoffs.
According to
TSN's Darren Dreger has just reported that Flames winger Curtis Glencross has been dealt to the Washington Capitals in exchange for a couple of draft picks. The draft picks have yet to be specified, but that information should be along shortly.
Glencross was taken off the ice during the Flames practice this morning, fuelling speculation that he had been traded. The speculation appears to have been warranted.
Washington gets stronger on the win for the postseason and the Flames rid themselves of a player who isn't in their long term plan.
