It appears that the St. Louis Blue's want Martin Brodeur to remain with their organization in a big way. After it was announced today that Marty would retire and join the organization in a management role, Devils President and General Manager Lou Lam
"He could've come here if he wanted."Not really a welcoming comment from a guy who's reputed for being a bit of a jerk around the league. However despite his comment Lamoriello made it clear he believes that Brodeur will join the Devils front office next year. It appears that the Blues have a very different idea however. According to a report for Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports the Blues have offered Brodeur a position as Assistant General Manager with the club. The Blues are not only in a much better position to win at the moment, they also gave Brodeur a shot this year, something Lamoriello and the Devils refused to do. Could we see Brodeur become a long time member of a team other than the Devils?
