Breaking News: Desobedient goaltender packs his things!!

We reported to you earlier that Ottawa Senators Andrew Hammond refused to be sent down to Binghampton for a conditionning stint and a trade might be incoming.

Well, the latest news is that Hammond is being placed on waivers right now. The Senators had three healthy goalies : Mike Condon, Craig Anderson and Andrew Hammond. Three's a crowd when it comes to netminder and clearly the Hamburglar was the odd man out.

They recently acquired Mike Condon for a 5th round pick from the Pittsburgh Penguins, who grabbed him previously this season on the waiver wire.

In a league plagued with 'tender injuries, it comes as a surprise the Senators didn't try to trade Hammond before letting him go, like the Penguins did with Condon. 

The Los Angeles Kings might be interested in grabbing the British Colombia native. They've struggled between the pipes since Jonathan Quick's injury.
