In the latest saga of the seemingly incompetent Penguins medical staff, it now appears that the Penguins may have infected children with the mumps. This comes off the heels of the terrible handling of Sidney Crosby's mumps case, a case that was so poorly managed by the Penguins medical staff that an NHL coach felt the need to comment on the situation. According to a report from Katie Strang of ESPN, the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh has released a statement suggesting that the Penguins allowed Beau Bennett, a player diagnosed with the mumps virus, to meet with children who had not been vaccinated, including some who hadn ot received age appropriate vaccinations. These children will now have to be placed in isolation and be monitored to see if they show any signs of the mumps. Another great job by the Penguins medical staff. Some had a pretty hilarious take on the entire situation.
