Breaking: NHL All-Star John Scott makes a huge announcement.

Former National Hockey League enforcer John Scott retired from hockey after his amazing performance at the National Hockey League's All-Star game but that doesn't mean that he hasn't been keeping himself busy.

Scott announced this week that he would be featured on an upcoming episode of S.W.A.T. and furthermore that he is set to make a cameo in the movie currently being produced about his life story, his first few steps into an acting career.

Scott however doesn't sound like he seriously intends to pursue acting, or perhaps he was simply being modest as he is known to do.

“It’s a different kind of nerves,” Scott said as per The Associated Press. “I’ve been in front of big stadiums, I’ve fist-fought tough guys and that’s nerve-wracking. It’s so much different walking on to a stage where you’re the new guy and you don’t really know what to do.”

While some have been expecting the league to extend him some kind of job offer following the controversy that occurred around his All-Star appearance, Scott doesn't seem to believe that the NHL's front office are a big fan of his.

“I don’t think the league’s going to hire me, to be honest with you,” Scott said. “I would like to maybe get into coaching, but I’m still so many years off. I couldn’t leave my wife with these five kids, so that stuff is a pie in the sky right now.”

Nonetheless we wish Scott all the best on his future acting gigs, whether he decides to pursue those career opportunities seriously or not. Perhaps if all goes well in his life we will see him behind an NHL bench again someday.
