Breaking: NHL captain admits he's distracted with his family facing disaster.

Despite the fact that his team may be struggling, Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty can't 100% focus on hockey and it's hard to blame him given the circumstances.

In a recent report from the Canadian Press reporter Michel Lamarche revealed that the veteran forward admitted to the assembled media that his thoughts were on his family in California, family that has been threatened by the wildfires ravaging the area.

In fact according to Lamarche, Pacioretty's mother was forced to head down to Santa Rosa California to help evacuate his grand-parents who presumably have been put at risk as a result of the fire.

Paciorretty went on to say that there are things in life that are more important than hockey and considering there is a genuine threat to his family we have to agree with him.
