Breaking: NHL captain injured by rookie teammate during warm ups tonight.

At first it looked like nothing serious but now we are no longer so sure.

Dave Vest of the Airzona Coyotes initially that Coyotes captain Shane Doan and rookie defenseman Jacob Cychrun collided during the pre-game warm ups, although Vest reported that both men were ok.

However Vest began to have his doubts when Doan failed to show up on the bench for the start of the game, and now the Arizona Coyotes content creator is reporting that Doan is currently being evaluated by medical staff.

Update: Vest is reporting that Doan has joined his team on the bench after missing the first several minutes of the game. A scary moment for the 41-year-old following what Vest is now calling a "violent collision," thankfully he appears to be relatively alright.
