Breaking: NHL captain parting ways with his current team.

According to a breaking news report from TSN insider Pierre LeBrun, the Arizona Coyotes have made the decision to part ways with a player synonymous with their franchise and their current, and soon-to-be former, captain Shane Doan.

LeBrun reports that Doan has not made a decision regarding his playing future following this announcement, but LeBrun believes there are rival National Hockey League organizations who would have interest in signing Doan moving forward.

The insider also added that this must be a "tough pill to swallow" for Doan, however he also added that he expects the Coyotes will offer Doan a job within the organization once his playing career comes to an end.
