For a while at least it appeared that the issues between the Arizona Coyotes and the City of Glendale were resolved, but an announcement from IceArizona CEO Anthony Leblanc has revealed things are worse than ever.

“At some point you have to make a decision that you can’t continue to talk to a wall,” Coyotes co-owner, president and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said as per Arizona Sports. “You have to accept reality and look at what your alternatives are. That’s where we are right now.”

Leblanc also took some serious shots at the City of Glendale, stating that while the city has publicly backed the Coyotes, they have worked behind the scenes to undermine the organization. Leblanc flat out stated the City of Glendale was trying to find a way to get money from the Coyotes organization.

“What we’re hearing from the City of Glendale and their representative at Beacon (Sports Capital Management) is not only are they not looking at something like that but they think that we as a hockey team should be subsidizing the city. It’s mind-boggling."

Leblanc states that they are now in talks with three groups for the location of a new arena, and while we don't know the identity of two of those groups, one is believed ot be the City of Phoenix, which has openly expressed it's desire to bring back the Coyotes.
