While most National Hockey League general managers have been very tight-lipped about their plans for the expansion draft, one NHL GM just shared a big piece of information at his end of season press conference.

Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion addressed the media on Monday and while he fielded a number of questions about the future of his club, one of the most revealing was Dorion confirming that Craig Anderson would in fact be protected by the team.

While it should come as little surprise given his outstanding performance this season, this in spite of him dealing with personally tragedy off the ice, it does also coincidentally reveal which goaltender will be exposed by the Sens.

While the Senators currently have multiple goaltenders in their system, only one remains under contract through next season, and that goaltender is Andrew "Hamburgler" Hammond

While Hammond is coming off a down year, he demonstrated both during the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 NHL seasons that he was at the very least an extremely serviceable backup goaltender.

Dorion did not elaborate on any other expansion draft details.\
