This would be a huge trade.

One National Hockey League general manager has admitted in a rare moment of honesty that he may indeed have to deal one of his talented goaltenders.

According to a report from Tampa Bay Lightning insider Joe Smith, Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman admitted that he has to make a decision at some point this offseason on the future of goaltenders Ben Bishop and Andrei Vasilevskiy and whether or not those futures are within his organization.

It's a very rare moment from the Lightning GM who is notoriously tight-lipped when it comes to player transactions or personnel decisions of any kind, but it's clear to most outsiders that one or the other has to go, and most are leaning towards a trade involving Ben Bishop. Yzerman did add that it was "possible" both men are on the Lightning roster to start next season, but that seems unlikely, especially if the Lightning re-sign star forward Steven Stamkos.
