Sounds like one NHL GM is about to be out of a job.

The regular season is over, and that usually means some jobs are about to be over as well.

According to a report from Sportsnet's hockey insider Nick Kypreos one of the first to fall may be Arizona Coyotes general manager Don Maloney although he may not be the only member of management let go. According to Kypreos there is a “management shake up,” coming in Arizona.

The Coyotes have missed the playoffs for four straight seasons, but when you consider the extremely limited budget Don Maloney has had to work with on a team that at times did not even have an ownership group, it's rather difficult to lay the blame for a lack of success at his feet.

The future of head coach Dave Tippett, who was hired by Maloney, is uncertain at this time, but there are rumors circulating that he may stay on, and could possibly even take over some of Maloney's duties when it comes to player personnel, although at this time these are still just rumors.

Update: Minor update here, TSN is now also reporting Maloney is done in Arizona.
